Selecting a particular place to play golf in the US is a difficult task, because there are so many choices to choose from. In the US there are many different places to play golf, depending on the state and city that you are in. You can start by looking at the golf guides that are provided in the local areas and in the cities. The most popular golf destinations in the US are generally Florida, California, Hawaii, South Carolina, Nevada, and North Carolina. These places also have popular golf resorts, where one can relax away from work for a number of hours or days.

The best golf courses are found in places that offer plenty of sunshine. Florida provides this since it has many sunshine hours and a great coastline.  It is actually considered the golfer’s paradise, with plenty of water and the climate allowing almost 365 days of play. In Florida is Doral, Sawgrass Marriott Golf resort and spa, Bay hill, PGA National, Omni Resort and The Breakers. Doral is often termed as Kingdom of Golf and has restaurants and spa to give the best experience.  The Sawgrass has 99 holes and is located twenty seven miles along the Florida beach. The PGA National is located about four miles from the Gardens shopping mall and has five golf courses. The Omni Resort is surrounded by thirty six holes and is located about twenty five minutes from Orlando International Airport. The Breakers is set on 140 acres with a nice ocean view.

The Pacific coastline of California has great golf courses that attract many visitors. The Pebble Beach is the most famous which was established as early as 1919. This golf course has hosted prestigious tournaments including the 2000 U.S Open championships and those topping the British Open Leaderboard. Other centers that you can play golf in while in California include San Diego, Napa, and Palm Springs. The golf resorts in California are such as the Northstar at Tahoe, Hyatt Grand Champions and La Quinta.

Arizona is another place to play golf where you can find any style that suits you. Centers in this state include Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tucson. The place also has bountiful sunshine hours. Things To Do In Vegas (Besides Gamble)

When you think about Las Vegas, the first thing that comes to your mind is undoubtedly gambling. But the fact is that Vegas is a great location to visit even if you don’t like the idea of risking your life savings away on a blackjack table. Consider some of the options below to make your stay in Las Vegas as enjoyable as possible.

Shows in Vegas

Las Vegas offers a huge variety of shows, so there’s bound to be at least a few that appeal to you. Two of the most famous regular shows are Cirque du Soleil, which will be sure to have your jaw dropping, and Peepshow, a burlesque show that usually has a celebrity like a former Playmate or singer headlining the show. Cirque du Soleil offers a variety of different shows in various locations, some more expensive than others, so do some research to find the one you like best. Magic shows are also abounding in Vegas and the top American magicians are usually performing daily. There are also a wide variety of concerts, and long-time headliners include Cher, Donnie and Marie Osmond, and more recently, Elton John.

Las Vegas Golf

Boasting over 25 courses in the city itself (and even more just outside the city), Vegas is a golfer’s paradise. Las Vegas golf courses vary between traditional courses and desert courses and have competitive fees. Whatever your price range and preferences, Vegas is a great place for golf breaks. As with many other courses, prices will be higher from Friday to Sunday, so consider a mid-week round to lower the cost.

Shopping in Vegas

Las Vegas has an absolutely unbelievable amount of shopping locations to choose from. You’ll find every big designer (Chanel, Gucci, Prada, Hermes, Armani, and Tiffany’s, to name a few) and department store (such as Neiman-Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s and Nordstrom) in Vegas, along with thousands of other smaller shops and several malls. If you’re not spending your money gambling, then why not spend it on shopping?

The Bellagio Fountains

The Bellagio Fountains are one of the most iconic images of Las Vegas. Shows are every half-hour between 3 and 8pm, but the real splendor is in the night shows, which are more frequent at every 15 minutes from 8 until midnight. Huge bursts of water shoot up in perfectly synchronized motion to classic American songs (think Sinatra and Gene Kelly). This attraction is absolutely free and is a must-do on any traveler’s list for Las Vegas.

Spas in Vegas

If the bright lights and loud noises of the gambling halls aren’t for you, consider a relaxing stay in some of the country’s most wonderful spas. Two hotels boast the best of the best: The Venetian’s Canyon Ranch is nationally famous, as is The Spa at the Bellagio. If these are out of your price range, there’s certainly no lack of other options. Las Vegas is chock full of amazing spas, so book yourself in for a facial and massage!

Things To Do In North Carolina

Are you and your family planning to take a trip to Western North Carolina? Are you looking for fun things to do? Well friend, let me help you because I visit there four times a year. There are many things to do in the smoky mountains. You will find things that are free to do, cost a little to do, and may cost a pretty penny but in the end, worth it all. So, if you are wondering what your family can do in Western North Carolina, follow me!

Skiing, Snowboarding & Snow Tubing

In the mountains, you will find many places to ski, snowboard and snow tube. These three are a little pricey, but so well worth the money. For skiing and snowboarding, you should check out Cataloochi or Beech Mountain. They have the best two resorts, hands down. For snow tubing, Jonas Ridge is the place to go. I have been to many places snow tubing and this is the only place that isn’t packed and cares about their customers.

Museums

There are also plenty of museums to visit throughout the mountains. Some of the museums charge and some do not. If you love old cars, the Wheels Museum in Maggie Valley will be right up your alley. It’s a great museum with a lot to see.

Field of the Woods

Field of the Woods is a biblical theme park and it is free to enter. It is absolutely beautiful. On one side of the mountain is the 10 commandments and each letter is about 8 foot tall, so you can imagine how big that is for all of the commandments to be on it. It is located in Murphy, NC and well worth the drive.

Hiking, Wildlife, State Park

If you are looking for things like hiking, seeing wildlife, old time churches and homes, you should visit the state park. The state park covers most of the mountains but Cataloochi and Caves Cove are the best two places to visit. They have plenty of wildlife and beautiful scenery.
