Things To Do In Vegas (Besides Gamble)

When you think about Las Vegas, the first thing that comes to your mind is undoubtedly gambling. But the fact is that Vegas is a great location to visit even if you don’t like the idea of risking your life savings away on a blackjack table. Consider some of the options below to make your stay in Las Vegas as enjoyable as possible.

Shows in Vegas

Las Vegas offers a huge variety of shows, so there’s bound to be at least a few that appeal to you. Two of the most famous regular shows are Cirque du Soleil, which will be sure to have your jaw dropping, and Peepshow, a burlesque show that usually has a celebrity like a former Playmate or singer headlining the show. Cirque du Soleil offers a variety of different shows in various locations, some more expensive than others, so do some research to find the one you like best. Magic shows are also abounding in Vegas and the top American magicians are usually performing daily. There are also a wide variety of concerts, and long-time headliners include Cher, Donnie and Marie Osmond, and more recently, Elton John.

Las Vegas Golf

Boasting over 25 courses in the city itself (and even more just outside the city), Vegas is a golfer’s paradise. Las Vegas golf courses vary between traditional courses and desert courses and have competitive fees. Whatever your price range and preferences, Vegas is a great place for golf breaks. As with many other courses, prices will be higher from Friday to Sunday, so consider a mid-week round to lower the cost.

Shopping in Vegas

Las Vegas has an absolutely unbelievable amount of shopping locations to choose from. You’ll find every big designer (Chanel, Gucci, Prada, Hermes, Armani, and Tiffany’s, to name a few) and department store (such as Neiman-Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s and Nordstrom) in Vegas, along with thousands of other smaller shops and several malls. If you’re not spending your money gambling, then why not spend it on shopping?

The Bellagio Fountains

The Bellagio Fountains are one of the most iconic images of Las Vegas. Shows are every half-hour between 3 and 8pm, but the real splendor is in the night shows, which are more frequent at every 15 minutes from 8 until midnight. Huge bursts of water shoot up in perfectly synchronized motion to classic American songs (think Sinatra and Gene Kelly). This attraction is absolutely free and is a must-do on any traveler’s list for Las Vegas.

Spas in Vegas

If the bright lights and loud noises of the gambling halls aren’t for you, consider a relaxing stay in some of the country’s most wonderful spas. Two hotels boast the best of the best: The Venetian’s Canyon Ranch is nationally famous, as is The Spa at the Bellagio. If these are out of your price range, there’s certainly no lack of other options. Las Vegas is chock full of amazing spas, so book yourself in for a facial and massage!

Short stays in London: Hotels or Apartments?

Either way, you will need a place to stay. Depending on what you look for, you can choose from a wide range of suggestions on where to spend your personal time in London. One route to go is to look to travel agencies, accommodation providers, and your employer to help you find a good place to stay. However, if you’re doing it on your own, here are some things to consider.

How to make your choice

Not everyone has been to London, but everyone knows what an immense city it is. This means that the most important factor which you should have in mind when deciding where to stay is the distance between your temporary home and where you will be spending your day. When looking for short term accommodation London, you must also pay attention to the prices. If you are willing to pay more for a comfortable and conveniently situated place, you’ll have more options to choose from. If you’re just visiting the city on vacation and you have money to spend, holiday apartments London are a good choice. In that case, you are all by yourself when it comes to transport, nutrition and tourist activities.

Considering your needs

Even though here are some reasons to choose one of the options over the other, it is not necessary that you follow them – everything is subjective and should be thoroughly considered according to the circumstances under which you are traveling to London. If it’s your first time in the city and you are there mostly because of your personal desire to visit it and get to know it, you could take advantage of the benefits that staying in a hotel offers – for example group tourist visits to sights, help with information about transport and discounts when eating in the hotel restaurant. Provided that you are supposed to spend a few business days in London, you might not need any extras other than bed and bathroom and desire your own personal space, at which time an apartment would be the best choice.
